Power Dashboards Training

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here :) Are you excited to set up some Power Dashboards for your business?

By the end of this training, you’ll be able to set up 3 types of dashboards in your project management system. This will help you scale your business by improving KPI tracking, client fulfillment, and team management.

Throughout this training, it’s important to ask yourself “How can I set up my project management system so that my business is organized and running efficiently?”

Imagine if you hired someone to take 10+ hours of work off your plate… but you spent 20 hours instead training them, fixing their mistakes, redoing work because they didn’t get it right, organizing things inside of your project management system, etc. How would that impact your business? You’ve probably already experienced this and it’s frustrating right? Having these dashboards saves you that time and headache.

59% of U.S. workers say communication is their team’s biggest obstacle to success, followed by accountability (29%). And these dashboards help with both issues within your project management system.

Having these dashboards also makes it easy to get a quick high level overview of your business and also be able to zoom in and see the granular details of what needs to happen. It’s kinda of like putting a destination into google maps (let’s say from Florida to California) and seeing the zoomed out view of where you’re going… then when you hit “start” it shows you the zoomed in version of the next direction.

  • Step 1

    • Outline all the roles in your company in the KPI Tracker Spreadsheet

    • Determine what KPIs you want to track for each role and why

    • Map out your KPI rating system with clear meanings + consequences

    • Decide how often you want these KPIs tracked and updated on your dashboard

  • Step 2

    • Build this dashboard in your project management system using the help articles below under the “Importing Dashboards” section

  • BONUS

    • You can set up something similar for onboarding new hires and team members. Just outline the step-by-step process it takes to bring someone new into your company. What do they need to know? What access do they need? What paperwork needs to be done? What projects will they start with?

Building a CEO Overview Power Dashboard

      • Roles

How likely are they to continue working with you? How would you rate their progress? What stage of onboarding are they in? Etc. All of this can be outlined with custom fields in your project management system, similar to what we’ve done above.

Importing Dashboards to Your Project Management System

Here are the help desk articles describing how specifically to import into your project management system. Some offer up a “template” for you to fill out, and explain in detail how importing works. Feel free to do it this way, or just build it from scratch on your Project Management System

Any other project management system not listed above, look up “import” in the help desk.
